Electrolysis (diathermy) is a technique used in permanently removing hair. We slide a very fine needle to the base of the hair follicle, a high frequency current travels down the needle producing heat. The heat from the needle cauterizes the capillary supplying blood to the hair, thus destroying it and preventing it from 'feeding' any future hair growth.
